I just wanted to introduce myself. Yes, I know that you can read my bio on the website, but I would like to share a little bit about me. Like a lot of New Yorkers, I am an immigrant. I was born and raised on the island of Trinidad, so I gues that makes me Trinidadian-American. I moved to the United States for College. I attended St. Francis College in Brooklyn but lived in Harlem my first year. I believe that one only realizes how much of a New Yorker they are when they live somewhere else. I lived in Connecticut for four years during medical school and mourned for New York every day. So naturally I moved back to New York for residency!
After residency I joined a private practice in lower Westchester. When it came time for me to move on from that job I had two choices, work somewhere else or work for myself and my patients. Obviously I chose the latter. "Trinity" has been in the works since January 2014 and all good things take time to craft. The driving force behind this practice is my passion for providing good medicine and working together with my patients to strengthen their individual lives, their families and our communities.
My vision is that "Trinity" would be a community of thriving women. I would love to help you find the tools to live a healthier life and empower you to be and do all that you were meant to do. I would love for us to be a community that learns together and supports each other. I plan to use tools such as the website, blog posts, facebook and twitter to provide information and also learn from you. I want us to be a group of women that support our larger community with service projects. So, if you are involved in something that you need help with, let us know. Also, keep checking the website for practice-sponsored service projects. If there is a topic you would like for us to discuss as a group, let us know.
My prayer is that we build exciting relationships over the next few decades!
See you soon,
Candice Fraser, MD
